JTBC와 Netflix에서 제공하는 TV 시리즈 ‘재벌집 막내아들’의 메인 타이틀을 작업했습니다.
I worked on the main title for the TV series “Reborn Rich," which aired on JTBC and Netflix.
재벌은 혼맥, 혈연으로 맺어지는 기업체로, 부와 권력이 세습되는 중세적 특징을 보입니다.
여기에서 주로 정치적 지배자를 대상으로 했던 상류층 문화인 ‘초상화’를 소재로 떠올리게 되었습니다.
Chaebols are corporate entities that are formed through marriage and blood ties,
and they exhibit medieval characteristics in which wealth and power are inherited.
This made me think of the "portrait," a culture of the upper class that mainly targeted political leaders.
박제된 시간 속에 있는 순양가 인물들은 화려한 액자 속에서 조명 받고 있지만
철저히 관찰 당하는 입장으로 설정했습니다.
I set the characters of the Soonyang family, who are in a preserved time, in a position where
they are strictly observed, although they are highlighted in a splendid frame.
한편 과거로 회귀해 다가올 미래를 알고 있는 도준(현우)는 조명 밖 어둠 속에 있지만
능동적으로 움직이며 모든 걸 파악하는 관람자의 역할을 주었습니다.
Meanwhile, Do-jun (Hyun-woo), who goes back to the past and knows the future,
was given the role of the viewer who actively moves and understands everything
in the darkness outside the spotlight.
순양가 인물들의 수동적이고 엄숙한 분위기를 표현하기 위해 고전적인 유화 스타일로 선택했습니다.
한편 도준은 실루엣과 그림자로 표현하여 미스터리하고 정체를 알 수 없는 캐릭터의 특징을 반영하였습니다.
To express the passive and solemn atmosphere of the Soonyang family, I chose a classical oil painting style.
On the other hand, Do-jun was represented with silhouettes and shadows
to reflect the characteristics of a mysterious and unidentifiable character.
또한 시간 여행이라는 판타지 소재에서 오는 신비함과 레트로한 분위기를 공간에 녹여 표현했습니다.
Additionally, I incorporated a mysterious and retro atmosphere into the space,
as it is a fantasy subject of time travel.
